Happy Mother's Day

I've totally enjoyed today. My husband pampered me properly. Got me flowers, a present (mp3 player that can read audible.com files so that I can stop having to converting the files I download from there), made me a FABULOUS dinner. He's a good man.

Now let's celebrate with some pictures.

We have discovered FEET!

Next is a picture of one of my new favorite things. John needs a good swaddling to fall asleep properly. He has also become effective at kicking himself out of the swaddle in the night time. As he has grown, this has gotten more and more ridiculous because receiving blankets don't fit him anymore. I started using a ribbon to tie him using this method. But then he would kick out of it and the ribbon would end up around his throat. Seems like a choking hazard, right? These swaddling blankets are perfect. He still squirms his arms out on a regular basis, but there is no fear of the result being death. And they are super easy to use.

And this is just smart looking.

I'm a huge believer in swaddling. I don't know how mom's get babies to sleep without it, but I have to say it was slightly bizarre seeing someone tie there baby up. I don't know why. I guess ndian's did something similar with a papoose and I never thought that was weird. Anyways, I've heard good things about the blankets designed for swaddling. Maybe i'll try it with this next baby. Happy Mother's day.

First, Cash and John have the same little duck - Cash still loves it! :) Second, Janson had to do rotations at the hospital for premature babies when Cash was just weeks old and he learned how to be the best swaddler in the world. Cash loved it and Janson still swaddles him when the time is right. Ahhh...wonderful husbands. :)

The swaddle blankets are an interesting idea. Seems much easier.

I love the picture of John in his tie. How cute!

Wow, you really put a lot of work into the swaddling solution. When mine started kicking their way out of it we were just done with it. Good for you!
